Perfume samples

Just a quick little review of my perfume samples.

This is Dior's J'adore. It's very feminine and floral, also very potent. Seems like a nice elegant scent for a night out to dinner or something like that.

Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. Also very floral with a very slight spicy scent and something almost fruity, like apples. Very girly smelling. I really like this one.

Dior's Escale A Portofino. This one is veryyyy spicy smelling. I was slightly taken aback when I smelled it. It's very strong. It smells like it could almost be a mens cologne, but is also feminine in a way. Very bold. Italian citron essence, Sicilian almond essence, & orange blossom essence is written inside the sample cover.

The Body Shop's White Musk. My favorite of the bunch. This one is very floral and probably the most feminine/girly of them all. Its the kind of smell that if someone wearing this walked past, you'd notice. It's not too strong, making it a great day scent. Very smooth and very floral; no fruity or spicy smell at all.
I really love this one as well; I would consider purchasing.

Dior's Addict 2. This one smells similar to The Body Shop's White Musk in its floral notes, just a tad stronger. It has more fruity notes to it. Grapefruit, freesia accord, & white musks is written inside the sample cover.

Dior Iconic mascara

I got this sample along with my other Dior things.
Overall, it's just another mascara. You're better off getting Lashblast.
I like the brush, but instead of giving me full, thick, long lashes (which are what I want), it gives me natural feathery lashes. It's a decent sample, and I'm using it, but would I pay full price? No.

Dior 5 pan palette

I loveeee this palette. It's so pigmented and wonderful for smokey looks or smokey blue looks. Gorgeous for dramatic eyes in general. I'm in love =D
This palette is called 'Twilight.'

The packaging; amazinnnngg.

The colors.
The swatches: The first color on my hand is the lower left corner of the palette, the second swatch on my hand is the upper right corner of the palette, third on my hand is the upper left corner on the palette, fourth on my hand is lower right corner of the palette, fifth on my hand is the middle of the palette.

The first color is an iridescent blue. It can easily be mistaken for poor pigmentation, but I'm certain it's an iridescent blue. It catches the light beautifully; this picture doesn't capture the shimmer or iridescence. The second color is a light silvery grey with mild shimmer. The third is a dark smokey charcoal; which is wonderful for smokey eyes. The fourth color (which looks rather blackish) is actually a shimmery navy/midnight blue. I have a navy blue, but it's so dark it looks black. I've always wanted a true deep blue, and this one is perfect. Last color is a rich inky black with silver glitter. The glitter actually shows up on the eyelid when you put it on. It's the most pigmented black I own; I love it!

DaLish cosmetics

I received this in a package today. It's a cylinder container full of DaLish cosmetics. I love it because if I ever need to run somewhere and just grab some make-up, everything is in this container. 2 colors of eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, highlighter, 2 colors of lipgloss, & customizable foundation all in cream/liquid form.

Pictured below:
Top row, left to right: double ended cream eyeshadow, double ended mascara and liquid liner, double ended pink blush and pearl highlighter.
Bottom row, left to right: double ended lipgloss, foundation, light foundation adjuster, dark foundation adjuster

The idea of the foundation and light/dark adjusters is to use the foundation as your base and then add the white or dark brown as needed to customize your foundation. I've used it and it has great coverage, and I've been able to accurately match my color.

Pictured below:

Bottom row, left to right: Double ended lipgloss, foundation, light adjuster, dark adjuster.

Below: The case it comes in

The closed case

The cream shadow doesn't crease. I used the lighter one as base for a beige eyshadow and then applied the darker color in the crease with no powder eyeshadow on top, and it stayed on when I went out and didn't crease.
The mascara is fairly decent; it gives a nice natural look and thickens the lashes. The liquid liner has a brush tip, which I'm not too fond of but this kit for me is mostly for natural looks so I usually just brush some on the outer corner as opposed to doing flicks and all that so I don't need as much precision. It doesn't flake or crack and it's very black and stays on.
The foundation actually gives decent coverage; I really like it a lot, and it matched perfectly thanks to the color adjusters. I can also use the dark color adjuster for cream contour color.
The pearl highlighter is wonderful. It's great on the browbone and cheekbone and gives a glowing sheen while not being too pearly. The blush is great too. A small dab on the cheeks and blended with the fingers gives a natural pink flush.
The lipglosses are semi-sheer with buildable color and have no sparkles or shimmer. The lighter color is a punchy melon/coral/rosy color; it's very unique and I have nothing else like it. It looks much different in the tube than when put on. The darker color is a sheer rosy wine color but is also very wearable.

Lip balms/treatments

I got two Pepsi lip balms and an Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil for a dollar a piece. The pepsi balms are vanilla and wild cherry. The wild cherry one smells faintly of Pepsi and barely of cherry, but the vanilla one is dead on with the Pepsi scent and I detect the vanilla as well. They aren't glossy but they are moisturizing and the wild cherry one is faintly tinted. They are mildly flavored as well. I love them!
As for the Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil; that's just what it is, a hydrating lip oil. Don't buy this with the expectation of a gloss, or you won't be satisfied. Although it is very shiny & glossy, it doesn't have the consistency or lasting power of a gloss because your lips absorb it. I bought it knowing it was an oil product. It has a lot of moisturizing properties and oils in it to help hydrate your lips. It is also very minty, as it contains menthol. Between the moisturizing properties and the menthols slight plumping properties (although this isn't a lip plumper at all), it makes lips appear fuller and diminishes the appearance of lip lines. I really like this as well, especially with winter coming and about to wreak havoc on my skin and lips.

Bonnebell Blend'N'Glow

Yay for new Bonnebelle Blend N Glow! I used up all my last one; they're freakin' great. This is in Natural Blush. I just swirled my finger in all the colors to get the swatch.

For me, it's the perfect blush meets bronzer & highlighter all in one, with just a touch of shimmer. I usually like matte bronzers/blushes because they don't bring out problems in my skin like shimmery ones do, but surprisingly this one doesn't.

Don't you just love the way the powder is pressed?

Rimmel Kiss Off!

I got a new Rimmel Kiss Off! lipgloss. I love these because they're sheer but packed with shimmer and sparkles; I would imagine they'd be a great dupe for some of the Dazzleglasses.
This one is Flashback. It's a clear base with gold and yellow sparkles and a scarce violet or green sparkle. It's great on top of any lip color to add a golden shine.
